I’m struck by the advice of not using superfluous presentation material. I’m reminded of a story of an ad meeting between Steve Jobs and Lee Clow. Lee was trying to convey to Steve the wisdom of brevity when creating ad copy.

Lee balled up some pieces of paper. He tossed one at Steve which was easily caught. Steve was quizzical. Then Lee tossed Steve a bunch of these wads at once. None were caught. Steve got the point.
