It really was eye opening to read that this generation really is all about texting. I am 50 yrs old, I need to learn that our younger folks did not grow up with face to face conversation, so they do not value it as much as the older generation does.
Neither one is better, judt different. I do know for fact, deals get done through texts and emails, with bare minimum in-person contact, if any.
I just have to remember that my texts are equally valuable than a verbal conversation. They just need to be short, to the point, informative, and professional.

How many times do you call? What is your conversion rate? Mine is around 1 to 2% and I call until they tell me to go to hell. After 1 week, I sent them text, email and calls within 1 minute. What have I got to lose at that point although 1 guy apologized for being out of the country – Ooops – LOL.
