It should be open to all companies not just one in the area. I pay for Zillow leads and I can tell you since they opened up the Flex to one team at a company her is SC we all are paying for nothing. I have received two whole leads since ce March 1st and it is now March 23rd. Once lead was for an existing listing one of my agents has and the other was decent. 2 in 23 days is ridiculous!!!

2 years Zillow owns the lead and if the lead buys or sells within those two years, you still have to pay the referral fee. Not worth it.

Great question. I don’t know what the contract terms are in terms of lead expiration, I suspect that is something that Zillow will negotiate individually with agents.

Do you know if there is a time limit on the commission paid to Zillow? For instance, a nurture lead that buys 6 months later? a year later?

Since I’m new agent (5 months now) and haven’t received even one good lead that has paid off, I certainly wouldn’t mind giving up 35-40% of my commission because like you mentioned, something is better than nothing. Which is what I’ve currently been making. And the experience would be helpful as well. I hope it comes to Oklahoma soon.

Hi Alice –

Thanks for the question. The Zillow Flex formula is like any other referral, meaning it would come off the top of the commission before it makes it to you and your broker. This is why a broker sign-off is required to participate in Zillow Flex.

Our market is around 2-2.5%.
I want to find out the commission Zillow flex gets. Is this going to be from from my net commission after split? Or before split of mine and my broker
